Hola! I assisted my first power class tonight & wanted to share a few things with my favorites:) Practicing yoga & teaching(observing) yoga are two completely different things. I feel like I've learned so much in the past 2 weeks about myself & those around me. One of the major topics we've discussed is non-judgment & that applies to every aspect of your life. Elaborating more on the yoga non-judgement is to stop comparing yourself to others in class..for example: Comparing your warrior pose to your neighbors warrior pose or judging yourself for falling out of a pose that you always master. Silence the judgment(noise) that you put on yourself & others. Another thing that I have learned is that everyone's body moves differently in yoga-so do what is right for you! As long as you're working towards the proper alignment to avoid injuries you shouldn't be comparing yourself to Bendy Betty or Bicep Bob. This can be difficult because let's face it we are HUMAN! The secret for me is to take deep cleansing breaths to release negative energy. By Focusing on your breath it allows you to block out unwanted chatter. Let's remember that we are all in this together & should uplift one another!
NON-JUDGMENT
Namaste y'all
